  • 1Recall examples of commitment shown by people in daily life at home, school, and church
  • 2Ask learners: Who gets up early every morning to go to school without being told? Raise your hand and share one reason
  • UNDERSTANDING COMMITMENT IN THREE AREAS
  • 1Write on chalkboard: COMMITMENT TO GOD — praying daily, reading Bible, helping others. Ask: Why do we pray every morning? Learners whisper answer to partner first, then volunteer shares aloud
  • 2Read from textbook: duties at home (keeping room clean, taking care of pets, doing chores). Learners point to themselves if they do ONE of these duties
  • 3Write on chalkboard: COMMITMENT TO SCHOOL — doing homework, coming early, keeping classroom neat. Ask: Which duty is hardest for you? Learners write one sentence in exercise book
  • 1Textbook
  • 2Exercise book
  • 3Chalkboard
  • 1Role-play: Kwame shows commitment by doing homework even when tired — ask: What good thing happens because of Kwame's commitment?
  • 2Learners chant together three times: I show commitment by helping, learning, and respecting
Exercise
  • 1Name one way you will show commitment to your family this week and explain why it is important in their exercise books.
