  • 2Ask learners: What does Ama do when her grandmother enters the room at home? Collect 3 responses on the chalkboard (e.g. stand up, greet, offer seat)
  • GOOD MANNERS IN THE HOME — TABLE MANNERS AND RESPECT
  • 1Using the textbook page on home behaviour, read aloud Kofi's daily routine at home: greets parents, helps with chores, uses please and thank you at table. Ask: Which manners did Kofi show? Learners list 3 in exercise books using the chalkboard chart
  • 2Role play: A learner (Akua) sits at dinner; another (Kwame) arrives late and sits noisily. Class describes what Kwame did wrong and what he should do instead. Repeat with another pair showing correct table manners. Use Textbook during the task.
  • 3Learners complete the sentence in exercise books: 'I show respect to my elders at home by _____.' Three volunteers read aloud; teacher writes best answers on chalkboard
