  • 1Recall examples of good manners shown at home, school and in the community
  • 2Ask learners to stand and greet each other using proper Ghanaian greetings (e.g., 'Good morning, sister' or 'Good morning, brother'); invite three learners to demonstrate their greeting aloud
  • GOOD MANNERS AT HOME AND IN THE COMMUNITY
  • 1Write on the chalkboard four scenarios: (1) Kofi helping his mother sweep the compound; (2) Abena greeting Aunty Esi with a bow; (3) Kwame saying 'please' and 'thank you' at table; (4) Yaw obeying his father's instruction. Learners read each from the textbook and exercise book and identify which shows good manners—ask: How do you know this is good manners?
  • 2Divide class into four groups (six–seven learners each). Assign each group one scenario. Groups role-play their scenario —Group 1 shows helping at home, Group 2 shows respectful greeting, Group 3 shows table manners, Group 4 shows obedience. After each role-play, ask the class: What good manners did you see?. Use Textbook (Our World and Our People) during the task.
