  • 1Recall different ways people respond to God's call in their daily lives
  • 2Ask learners: What does it mean when we say someone answers God's call? Allow three learners to share their thoughts aloud
  • IDENTIFYING BENEFITS OF RESPONDING TO GOD'S CALL
  • 1Divide the class into four mixed-ability groups of 7–8 learners. Assign each group one way to respond to God's call: Group 1—Prayer, Group 2—Service to the needy, Group 3—Caring for the environment, Group 4—Helping others (charity). Each group discusses and writes one benefit of their assigned response on the chalkboard using the exercise book as a draft. For example, Group 1 might write: Praying brings us closer to God
  • 2Call one representative from each group to read their benefit aloud to the class. As each benefit is shared, write it on the chalkboard. Ask the class: Does this benefit happen in our community? Learners raise their hands to show agreement. Use the textbook page on God's blessings to confirm whether each benefit matches examples given in the lesson resources
  • 3Struggling learners: pair them with stronger peers and allow them to contribute one word or phrase instead of a full sentence. Fast finishers: ask them to name a real person in their community (e.g. Abena the nurse, Kwesi the farmer) who shows this benefit through their actions.
  • 1Textbook (RME Curriculum pages on God's call and blessings)
  • 2Exercise book (for group drafts and final answers)
  • 3Chalkboard (for recording benefits and examples)
  • 1Ask learners to stand if they have experienced or seen one of the four benefits shared today. Invite two volunteers to explain which benefit they witnessed and how it changed someone's life
  • 2Learners repeat chorally three times: Responding to God's call brings blessings to me and my community. Show thumbs up if you will try to respond to God's call this week
Exercise
  • 1In your exercise book, write two benefits of responding to God's call and give one real example from your family or community for each benefit. Use the textbook exemplars and class discussion to help you
