  • 1Recall basic movement concepts (space, dynamics, relationship) used in target sports
  • 2Ask learners to name three local target sports played in Ghana (e.g. archery, lawn bowls, local golf variants); list answers on chalkboard
  • APPLYING MOVEMENT CONCEPTS IN LOCAL ARCHERY
  • 1Divide class into pairs. Using the textbook diagram of archery stance, learners read aloud the three movement concepts: space (stance width), dynamics (arm speed), relationship (body to target). Write each on chalkboard
  • 2Pairs practice archery stance with imaginary bow: feet shoulder-width apart (space), slow controlled arm movement (dynamics), body facing target (relationship). Call on one representative from each group to demonstrate correct stance while others observe. Use Textbook during the task.
  • 3Learners record in exercise books one movement concept they struggled with and one they mastered during the practice stance
  • 1Textbook
  • 2Exercise book
  • 3Chalkboard
  • 1Learners whisper to their partner one strategy to improve accuracy in target sports using the three movement concepts
  • 2Whole class repeats chorally: 'Space, Dynamics, Relationship — the three keys to target sports'
Exercise
  • 1Show learners a picture of a learner shooting in archery; ask them to identify and name one movement concept visible in the action and explain why it helps solve the problem of accuracy in their exercise books.
