  • 1Identify five technology tools used for learning across different school subjects
  • 2Show learners two pictures on the projector: one of a student using a laptop for maths, one using a computer for art — ask them to name what technology they see and what subject it might help with.
  • 3Learners whisper to their partner one technology tool they have used or seen used in school, then one volunteer shares their answer aloud to the class.
  • EXPLORING FIVE TECHNOLOGY TOOLS FOR LEARNING ACROSS SUBJECTS
  • 1Display the textbook page on the projector showing Spreadsheets, Virtual Museum, Scrabble, Presentation software, and Scratch; read aloud the name and one sentence description of each tool.
  • 2Learners copy the five tool names into their exercise books and match each to a subject: Spreadsheets to Maths, Virtual Museum to Social Studies, Scrabble to English, Presentation to Science, Scratch to Computing.
  • 3Ask: Which of these five tools have you seen in your classroom? — learners raise hands and one representative from each group of three shares one tool they recognised.
  • 1Projector
  • 2Computer/Laptop
  • 3Textbook
  • 4Internet connection
  • 1Learners stand and form a line; call out a tool name and learners say aloud the subject it is best for, repeating chorally three times.
  • 2Pairs check each other's matched list from Phase 2 activity 2 using the textbook as the answer key.
Exercise
  • 1Write the names of five technology tools for learning and write one sentence explaining which subject each tool is used for.
